When it comes to Christmas, there are just some things that are non-negotiable, including board games! Even if they ends with a big argument, they provide hours of entertainment! However, it can be hard to know which one to bring to the table! This year though, Zatu has made choosing one a whole lot easier with their family friendly new board game collection!

Good Morning Lovelies,

Now that Halloween is over for another year, the wonder of Christmas is upon us! Something that can both scare and delight us all! Especially when it comes to thinking about gifts to give our loved ones. However, these stresses can be eased, as one of the best presents you can always give is a board game and the brilliant team at Zatu have loads for us to choose from!

From family classics to iconic newcomers that will inspire the whole family to want to take part in them, the team have created a whole host of them that are worthy of a family argument on the big day, as they are that fun. Having scoured the whole of their website and tested a few myself, I thought I would share with you all some of my favourites to help you find the ultimate game or gift this festive season…

Racing Line, £29.99: With eight players able to join in with this one, Racing Line provides the sense of a real family occasion when playing. Suitable for all ages, the game is perfect for those who love racing and those who don’t as it presents a whole lot of fun no matter what. Having played this with my family, we loved the nature of it, as you race to overtake and outsmart the other cars on the board to get to the finish line first. The person who does is named the Racing Lane Champion. Once it gets going, the game is super easy to play, meaning you get out again and again over the festive season.

YUBIBO, £21.99: As a family who love games that really get us thinking, me and my mum adored YUBIBO. Upon launching in Japan, it became an instant best-seller, as it is a game of coordination and strength. Using your fingers, the sticks included and some spongey balls, the game involves players taking turns to pick up a card to find out which finger they need to use to hold the stick. If the card doesn’t match a certain colour then players can be nominated to take part too. It is a complex but skilled game that is highly addictive. Oh! Fun fact! The name of the game actually translates to Fingersticks, which we loved too when we heard it!

Muffin Time, £22: If your family loves chaos then they will love this wild card game! With over 200 cards to help you win, the person who comes out on top is the one with 10 cards at the end and manages to shout, ‘It’s Muffin Time!’ the fastest. Get ready to see a whole lot of madness on Christmas day because of this.

Ticket To Ride Europe, £44.99: Forget Monopoly! This Christmas, you are going to want to start collecting railway sites! All in the hopes to connect as many railway routes as possible to come out on top. Thankfully, the game doesn’t go on for hours like the one mentioned before, but it doesn’t provide a whole host of fun. Plus, it provides little ones with new knowledge about places they may never have heard of before.

Sushi Go! Party, £27.99: The aim of this game is simple! You simply have to pick as many sushi matching foods as possible to win. Yet, it is so addictive that once you start playing you get hooked on it. Now with a fun extension pack, the party version allows for even more time to be spent playing it. This is perfect to pop into a stocking this Christmas.

Christmas simply isn’t Christmas without an epic board game and Zatu have hundreds for you to choose from! Our favourite of the ones we tested had to be the YUBIBO, which hooked us in for hours. Honestly, we spent more time playing it than we thought we had and agreed that it has to come on holiday with us! The gift of gaming this Christmas is definitely a whole lot more fun in 2026!
