What I Did In September To Prepare For Christmas 2026
00:00:00As many of you know, I have been spending the past nine months getting ready for Christmas early! However, it wasn’t until September that I really let the true countdown begin, as I purchased something to really kick start the festive celebrations off well! Find out all about what we got up through the last month to prep for the big day here!
Good Morning Lovelies,
Christmas is fast approaching! In just over two months' time, we will all be sitting down and enjoying a mega feast, before falling asleep on the sofa, as the festive TV specials play in the background and family arguments over Monopoly ring out. And I can’t wait for it!
Having spent every month doing something to prepare for the big event, my heart has started to thaw like Mariah Carey returning to sing loudly, making me feel so much lighter. I am truly ready to delve into the best festivities of them all, with Halloween and then Christmas coming our way thick and fast.
It was during a state of pure Christmas bliss that I went a little bit wild in my early planning however. On a recent trip to Costco, I decided to do something big for that month’s festive prep. I brought my advent calendar! Not a chocolate kind but a beautiful wooden one which lights up the whole room.
My mum had previously brought a long one that went across our fireplace from Costco last year. However, when I spotted this one, I couldn’t resist its charms. Upon leaving the warehouse without it, I felt sad once I got home that it wasn’t in my arms. So, I decided to go wild and ordered it to our house.
Two days later, it was in my possession and lit up for us to marvel in. I felt truly sad putting it away in its box. Though, my mum would have killed me if I had left it out. I am so proud of this little bit of early prepping though. At £35, it is also a lot cheaper than the toy or chocolate ones that cost a fortune now too.
As the shops begin to fully stock up on all of their Christmas items, I am certain that I am going to be even worse in October when it comes to preparing for the main event. I have purchased a few more presents for my mum and trial run a gingerbread loaf, however, the main event was this advent calendar. It is truly one of the best Christmas items I have ever brought. I may have to leave it out to countdown the days until December!
What have you all done in September lovelies to prepare for the big day? Have you got your advent calendars all ready? Let me know, as I love to hear all about your festive antics!
