With a whole host of talent, tricks and thoughtfulness, it is an immersive experience like no other! Find out all about our recent trip to see it right here!

Good Morning Lovelies,

Magic isn’t something that my family has ever really been interested in. We believe it to be very clever but we just haven’t paid much attention to it. So, when we were invited to come along to the immersive experience, The Magicians Table, in Waterloo, London, we were a little bit apprehensive as to whether we would enjoy it.

Upon arriving at the venue, we arrived to a hostess who granted us entry, whilst handing us our complimentary drinks and tokens, which we won’t lie, we have no idea what they were for and still don’t. Making our way through the darkness, we were seated at a table with another family, who were equally intrigued to see what the afternoon would bring.

With five star reviews across the board, the experience features a main stage and a number of tables around the room, which each group moves around to experience a different kind of magic. Based around the wake of a magician, who has tragically passed away, each trick is meant to be a celebration of his life, whilst also amazing all those watching it unfold.

Made with the help of the team behind some of Derren Brown’s best tricks, each magician leaves you guessing as to how they did what they shared throughout. Although some are quite simple to guess, others are trying stunning, including the drawing of a guest's favourite memory, which she hadn’t stated but we were all quick to know that it was a backpacking trip to Patagonia.

As the magicians perform their acts, there is an intimacy as to having them so close to you. Asking questions to my friend throughout, they made you feel like what they were doing was a normal act. Like you should know how it was done. Like you were a member of the magic circle. When really, you are left with your mouth hanging open at times in awe. And that isn’t because of the drinks that had been flowing in the cocktail bar before the show!

Having performed for over 500,000 guests so far, The Magicians Table is a show like nothing we have ever experienced before. Going on a rainy Sunday afternoon, the magic amazed us and showed us that a lot of fun can be had by leaving the norm behind.

Different from the food themed or TV based shows that are often made when immersive experiences are had in the city, this is very original and that makes it very enjoyable. You feel like you are getting a once in a lifetime experience. Whilst we openly admit that it wouldn’t have been our first choice of shows if we had been an option, we are so pleased that we went to see it, as it was a really well played out and thought about show.

Taking your eye away from the action would have led to a whole load of confusion and that is the magic of it. You are wrapped up in the magic that everything else is left behind. And that to me makes for a wonder of a show. Something that everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime.

The Magicians Table is seeking to grow soon to other venues, including finding a permanent London home, but for now, it is definitely worth the trip to Waterloo to embrace all that it creates. You will be spellbound by the whole experience from the moment it starts right up until the end!
