Something the wonders at Lotus Biscoff have taken on board this year, as they have transformed their crowd pleasing biccies to fit the season perfectly! If you come to our home and have a cup of tea then I can guarantee you that the biscuit tin will come out! Filled with the iconic biccies that you might find in most homes, there is a real comfort when it comes out, as it instantly puts our guests and us at ease. However, when it comes to Christmas, the selection gets a little bit fancy. 

Scouring the supermarket shelves for the new creations that have come out to celebrate the festive season, we load it with spiced, chocolate covered treats that feel like we are unwrapping a present every time we open the lid of the tin. Having already started our search for the one that will become our favourite, we may have found the winner already in the form of the seasonal creations from Lotus Biscoff. 

As firm fans of the rectangular biscuit, the spiced caramel taste fits perfectly with this time of the year, as it captures all of the iconic spices that normally flow throughout the air. Therefore, the brand’s new creations for the festive season fit in perfectly, as they have converted their iconic shape into Santa, Rudolph and a very jolly snowman. 

Coming in both the iconic classic biscuit flavour, Lotus Biscoff has also given them an even bigger makeover by coating them in their own version of a Christmas jumper by embedding them in a rich Belgian chocolate that excels in every single way. Honestly, you could wrap both up as a festive present and whoever receives them would love them. 

Kindly having been sent some to try, I can confirm this completely. Opening up the wonderful red box of goodies, I was greeted to a Lotus Biscoff stocking that was full to the brim with the biscuits that we couldn’t wait to tuck into. Providing us with a cup too, we popped the kettle on and got ready to devour the delights we had got between us. 

Opening up the chocolate kind first, we loved that they came in four handy packs of two, meaning we could take them around with us in our bag when we needed a little festive pick me up. Taking a bite out of the first biscuit, we equally loved how the richness of the chocolate made the iconic Biscoff flavour come to life in the biscuit. In no time at all, we had eaten our packs because of it, leading us to wanting more. 

This was when the plain festive characters came in. Ripping open the pack, so we could get stuck in quickly, we both moaned at just how good they were. We didn’t even feel guilty about biting Santa’s head off. In fact, we all agreed that we think that Santa would even want to eat his own body if you left them out for him on Christmas Eve, as they are just too good to leave. The plain character version also came in handy packs, which would be perfect to pop in lunchboxes too, if you want to give your little ones a little festive snack in their school bags. 

Overall, Lotus Biscoff have made two massive winners, on top of their normal collection, with these festive lovelies. Me and my mum adore Lotus Biscoff and these biscuits made us smile, moan in pure joy whilst eating and feel festive all at the same time. No more will we be seeking to find a festive biscuit to give to our guests, as these have already claimed the top spot. 

Out now in supermarkets and online, these definitely deserve a place within your home and biscuit tin this Christmas lovelies, so keep an eye out for them now. We will be buying them again and again to not only enjoy ourselves but to also include in food hampers and gifts that we give out this year too.
