Good Morning Lovelies, 

Often, when the colder months hit, we all like to head off to somewhere where the sunshine is still shining! However, for me, I love the places close to home that make me feel all warm and cosy inside. Honestly, if a city puts up some twinkling lights, has a cosy pub and a good selection of book shops for me to fall into, I will go there over some big fancy place. 

As someone who lives in the UK, I am very lucky that a lot of those spaces are very close to my home. I am also very grateful that I have been to a number of them as well. So, I thought I would gather a list of some of my favourites that I think everyone should try to visit, if they can, at least once. Fluffy jumpers are a must when going to the following…

Dublin, Ireland: As soon as you land in Dublin, this cosy comfy feeling fills your body. There is not a street that doesn’t have a cosy pub to snuggle up in, right next to a warming fire. The twinkling lights surrounding Temple Bar make for a magical night time walk, whilst the deer in Phoenix Park bring to life a festive vibe. All of which make for the most perfect autumn/winter break. 

Yorkshire, England: From the cobbled streets to the best tea in the world, Yorkshire has a charm about it that makes it scream cosiness. Everyone welcomes you in, as you embrace the wonders of the moors on a chilly walk, before delving into a scone or two over an afternoon tea in a local cafe. 

Ayrshire, Scotland: Forget going to one of the busy cities and head to Ayrshire. With so much history surrounding it, the local countryside will fill your heart with happiness, as the roaming horses and wildlife bring out a whole new side to your holiday. Plus, it is the birthplace of Johnnie Walker, meaning a hot scotch is an essential. 

Belfast, Northern Ireland: One of the easiest places to walk around, Belfast has a cosy coffee shop to snuggle in on every corner. Alongside the wonderful pubs, including The Crown, which has a pipe running through it to warm your feet. The city is also a wonderful place to go festive shopping in, as there are so many independent shops to purchase one of a kind items from. 

London, England: You can’t beat London when all the lights are glowing and the city comes to life as the festive season sets in. Shop windows tell a story. Local pubs warm you up with their inviting log fires. Big fluffy beds in hotels overlooking the Thames, as it ripples gentle under a frosty sky. There is nothing quite like a trip to London in autumn. 

The UK and Ireland are truly wonderful during this time of the year and I can’t wait to snuggle up in one of these locations this December!
