St Patrick's Day Week: The Best Places In Dublin To Continue The Celebrations
00:05:00St Patrick’s Day is the perfect time to eat, drink and be merry! Especially if you are in Ireland itself! Having been to Ireland a number of times, I have experienced some of the best places in the city! To mark St Patrick’s Day week on the blog, I thought I would share with you all some of the best in Dublin! Slainte!
Good Morning Lovelies,
It may be a little early in the day if you are reading this as soon as it has gone live to grab a drink but as we all come down from yesterday’s St Patrick’s Day celebrations, I thought I would share with you some of the best experiences to learn all about our favourite Irish drinks in Dublin to keep the jubilations going.
After visiting many distilleries and bars during my time in the city, I have learnt a lot and feel like I have a family connection now to a few of them. Odd I know, however, it is truly fascinating to me to see how something that is enjoyed by so many is made. Often, when I leave an establishment that has taught me something, I celebrate them forever more.
Therefore, these experiences are perfect for when you want to know how something you have been enjoying over the last few days has been created. Get ready to keep those St Patrick’s Day vibes going…
Guinness Storehouse Experience: You cannot go to Dublin and not celebrate Guinness! Yesterday, no matter where you are in the world, it will no doubt have been one of the busiest days of the year for Guinness. Yet, it would have been in the Sky Bar at the end of this experience that would have been dishing them out the most. If you want to keep the St Patrick’s Day celebrations going in the best place possible it will be here to do it.
Jameson’s Distillery Bow Street Tour: Probably the most famous Irish whiskey, this tour shows you just how Jameson’s was made before it moved to Cork. With interactive elements, a tasting session and a chance to buy an engraved bottle, this tour shares how one bottle became so much to so many. Including the angels who also like to have a share of it!
The Brazen Head Pub: Claiming to be the oldest pub in Ireland, which others also try to claim, there is a beautiful charming manner about this pub that makes you fall in love with it as soon as you see it. With welcoming staff, fantastic food and drinks and brilliant music, this is a pub that keeps the head and the heart of Dublin thriving.
Teeling’s Whiskey Distillery Tour: Quite new to the city, this whiskey is created by two brothers who are absolutely thriving with their invention. Full of gorgeous flavours, the tasting session at the end will make you want to bring a bottle or two back with you, as it is very hard to find outside of the city, but you will definitely want to keep it in your life.
The Temple Bar Pub: As soon as you walk into the main area of The Temple Bar, your heart just comes alive with joy. I could spend all day there listening to the music, the stories and the utter wonder that comes from others in the bar. It is a must-do experience whenever you go to the city. Even if it is for only five minutes!
Some of these may not be actual tours but spending just a few minutes inside one of the pubs mentioned will teach you a whole lot about Irish culture! Honestly, as soon as you go near The Brazen Head, you learn about its history as one of the oldest pubs in the country, whilst Temple Bar can revive your soul in so many ways! Every single one of these experiences though will keep the St Patrick’s Day party going!
