When I was younger, I can remember begging my mum for some walkie talkies. I wanted to give one to my best friend across the road to be able to talk to her all the time. Sadly, I never did get some, as the birth of mobile phones changed all that. Yet, the desire to have them has never gone away.
Being able to go on adventures and have fun whilst chatting away to my friends and shouting “over,” at the end of our digital conversation excites me still. So, when I heard about Com_Creator’s most inventive version of the devices, I was eager to give them a go.
Suitable for anyone over the age of five, the Creator Video Walkie-Talkies allow for users to not only talk to each other but to also see each other as well. With over 20 video filters and five voice settings and effects, these walkie-talkies are like no other on the market. Plus, they don’t need the internet to work.
Taking them out of the box, they were easy to set up, with the option of having face to face conversations or speaker based ones being applied with the simple click of a button. Handing one to my mum, I headed upstairs to give them a go, as she sat on the sofa below me.
Applying funny filters to our voices led to endless amounts of fun and when I needed to show her something in my room, I could easily pop the camera on to show her. Whilst the gadgets have been built with children in mind, as a 30 and 63 year old pair, we loved them.
Both of us agreed that they would be perfect for families to use to help keep their little ones safe without the need of having to have a mobile. They also provide children with the ability to learn how to film, create and share content in a creative and fun manner that will go on to help them in many careers in the future.
With lots of Easter fun and events on the horizon, these walkie-talkies will be perfect for helping young ones to stay in contact when out on hunts to help them find clues, whilst also providing a way to stay in touch with parents too. They truly are perfect tools that are educational, fun and safe to use. It is safe to say that they made my childhood dreams come true.
