What I Watched In January 2026

00:00:00

Anyone else felt like staying in and watching TV all day to beat the cold weather? Having been sick at the start of the year and needing a lot of comfort shows to get through it, I spent a lot of time watching some feel good features. Plus, a number of new thrills! Find out what lit up my January TV screen here!

Good Morning Lovelies,

January to me is the coldest and saddest month of the year! With nothing to look forward to, the weeks drag on in a cold and unhappy manner that means all I want to do is stay in my bed and hibernate until September, when the festivities start to begin again.

However, with so much good stuff coming to our TV screens over the last four weeks, I did manage to rise up and enjoy a lot on the box. From regal affairs to fun family antics from some magical nonnas, they were all perfect pick me ups. Here is what I watched over the past month lovelies…

Bridgerton (Series Four): I was so excited for the return of Bridgerton, as I binged all of it late last year and loved every minute of it. Focusing on Benedict, who is my favourite male Bridgerton, his story, which was based on Cinderella, was pure perfection. I am now wishing the next few weeks away to get to part two. Anyone else with me?

One Battle After Another: Having heard so much about Leonardo DiCaprio's performance in this, I was eager to see what everyone was talking about. I can safely say that I absolutely loved it! Probably one of the best acts of his career, he had me in stitches throughout and his partnership with Benicio Del Toro is pure magic.

Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere: As someone who doesn’t know a lot about Bruce Springsteen, I was intrigued by this film, as I am a big fan of Jeremy Allen White. Taking him completely away from The Bear, his portrayal of Springsteen is amazing, presenting heart and emotions that he nails in every way. Out now on home release and digitally, the film is one of the most impactful features I have seen in a long time, as it completely transforms how you may have seen the album and Springsteen creates within it in a whole new light. Knowing that Springsteen was on set most of the time whilst this was being made also makes it so much more real, as you can’t imagine that he would let them get away with lying about his life. Definitely a must-watch lovelies!

People We Meet On Vacation: I love a good romance and this was fantastic at warming my soul during the colder months. Following two people who make a vow to go on holiday together each year, all whilst bonding in new ways, the film is a real joy and has inspired me to want to meet new people and go travelling.

Hamnet: Whilst everyone may be praising the leading actors, who are amazing, I have to say the people in this that affected me the most when watching were the incredible child stars. Not one for the fair hearted, this film will rip any parent in two. I am desperate to read the book now, as I found the film to be amazing.

What did you all spend time watching in January lovelies? Let me know and I will be sure to take a look! I am in desperate need of something to fill the Bridgerton gap, so any suggestions of shows like that would be fantastic!
