Good Morning Lovelies,
Being half Italian means that I have had a lot of pizza in my time! From slices devoured on a Sicilian beach to homemade creations that allowed for all my favourite toppings to be added in one go, including pineapple, I have loved pizza since I was small. So, when the blog was invited to try the amazing creations at Crust Bros in Covent Garden, we were eager to get down there and give them a go.
Heading to the restaurant last night (21st Feb 2026), we found ourselves greeted with the warming lights that flowed out of the maroon building. Without even having opened the door, you could smell the authentic Italian ingredients, including the most amazing fresh dough scent that could entice anyone in.
Seated in a cosy spot that could rival something out of Lady & The Tramp, we were welcomed by the most lovely host, who looked after us incredibly well all evening. Handing us the menu, we were first given the hard decision of having to pick whether we wanted a bottle of wine, cocktails or something soft. With a journey home to be had, we chose the soft options, which included Lavender Lemonade.
Upon being placed on the table, we delighted in their refreshing notes, which helped to bring our tastebuds to life, as we chose our starters. Full of sweet but subtle notes, it was a hint of spring in the middle of winter that made us excited for the rest of the menu. With a selection of nibbles to choose from, the restaurant offered something we had never heard or seen before, Bomba Donuts, which oozed cheese, meats and more onto plates. Yet, we opted for the Pasta Chips, which came with a whipped feta dip and the Tomato and Mozzarella, which we couldn’t wait to tuck in when they arrived.
Having spotted people making their own versions of the pasta chips on TikTok, we were eager to see if they lived up to the hype. And boy did they! Full of crispy flavourful notes, they added a sense of saltiness to our drinks, which we couldn’t stop devouring. Especially when dipped into the feta cheese that just improved them even more.
They also worked perfectly with the fresh tomato and mozzarella starter. Presented to us as if it had just been churned and picked from plants outside, the dish built a level of excitement in our for the main courses that couldn’t be controlled.
After a delicious first taste of their menu, we were eager to get stuck into the main course options that Crust Bros are famous for. Known around London for their fabulous Pizzas, there is something for everyone on their menu, including the option to make your own if you want to. A reason that helped us to see just why people were queuing in the rain outside to get their desired creations made for them. From rich red sauces to cheesy wonders, the puffy stone baked dough bases are coated entirely in some of the freshest and most delightful ingredients to have ever touched our lips.
Resembling the greatest Italian pizzas, you feel like you are being transported right into the heart of the Mediterranean island, as they taste like the components have been picked fresh off the branches of a local vineyard. The tomatoes on the base were thick and obviously plump when selected, whilst the basil and herbs taste like they have only just bloomed from their plants. As for the meats and the cheeses, they are cooked to the point of pure perfection, as they both ooze and flow into the mouth in a way that enchants the palate. The cheese stretched to new heights, whilst the rounded pieces of pepperoni heaven shone as bright as the moon from where they were placed on the dough. Dough that was so light and fluffy you could have thought it was sent from heaven.
Having opted for the create your own choice, we both knew that they were going to be incredible from the moans of delight that we could hear from the other diners in the restaurant. Opting for a dough base loaded with tomato sauce, buffalo cheese, chicken and caramelised onion on one and tomato sauce, chicken, goats cheese and peppers on the other, we had a real selection coming our way upon ordering.
Seeing them being brought to our table by our host, our eyes grew wider and wider the closer our meals got. You could smell the richness of them as they approached and when they landed on our tables, they were bigger than the plates that they were served on. Something that made them very worthy of the £11.50 that they would have cost each.
Light and fluffy, they didn’t load our stomachs in a way that made us uncomfortable, as we took bite after bite. We could not get enough of how fresh and delicate they were. Each mouthful made us want more, as you could tell that the love and care that the chefs had put into making them right was pure perfection. We agreed that we hadn’t tasted a pizza quite like it before in London, as it transported us right back to the streets of Italy.
Alongside our pizzas, we were also offered the chance to try some of their famous sides. Automatically, we knew that the Crust Bros Fries had to be one of the options we picked, whilst the Side Salad had to be the other. Both complementing the meal incredibly well, the fries had the perfect crisp to them that transformed on the tongue into a flavour burst like no other, especially with the addition of the rosemary and thyme salt, which complemented them perfectly. As for the side salad, we loved the lightness it brought to the meal, however, there was a lot of vinaigrette on it, so if you are not a big fan of this, you may want to ask for less or request it to not be included.
After a short pause upon finishing our mains, we were presented with the option to refresh our mouths with some of the restaurant's desserts. From sweet versions of their Bomba Donuts, tiramisu and gelato, which included the flavours, La Gelateria vanilla, chocolate sorbet, strawberry sorbet and orange and rosemary, there were plenty of classic Italian puddings to help end our journey to the beautiful country, whilst remaining in the heart of London.
Spoilt for choice, we were advised to go with the ice cream, which came in beautifully scooped shapes. Giving us one of their special scoops, we were provided with a bowlful of Cookie Dough gelato, which had really big chunks of cookies within it that made the subtle vanilla taste of the cream pure perfection. Like a milk and cookies situation, it was the most gorgeous dish to end the night on, as we headed out soon after with a few pieces of pizza in boxes within our hands.
From the moment we stepped into Crust Bros in Covent Garden, we knew that what we were going to experience was going to be great. Yet, what we actually got was so much more than that. Both of us will forever be grateful that we were given the opportunity to sample the food and with incredibly affordable prices, we will definitely be coming back.
With so many pizzerias in the city centre, this one is the one that is outdoing them all right now! Bringing Italy to our shores, Crust Bros made us feel like we were back in my dad’s homeland and when a menu can do that to you, you know that you are onto a winner! If you are in London lovelies, head to Crust Bros right away for all your pizza dreams to come true!
