With Burns Night having warmed many souls and Dry January now over, it is time to give your loved ones a superb bottle of whisky this Valentine’s Day! With gorgeous rich tastes that have been produced in only the best casks, the ones mentioned in this handy guide will make those who receive them feel adored in every way! Discover them all here!

Good Morning Lovelies,

Only a few days ago, the world was going mad for whisky to mark the all important Burns Night. Yet, for some that choice was off the table due to Dry January! However, with February now upon us, those days are no longer a worry, as we prepare to spread the love on Valentine’s Day with a classic meal and a beautifully chilled bottle of wine or champagne, if you are feeling super fancy!

However, it isn’t just about that all important meal. Oh no! It is about the gift too! In our house, my dad’s favourite tipple to mark a special occasion was a whisky, which was what he would always drink when out celebrating Valentine’s Day and other events with my mum. This led to me learning a lot about which ones are best, creating a real fascination within me about them, which is why I am always up for going to a distillery to see them being made.

The memories that it created are always happy ones and filled with so much love. Something that spurred me on to want to create an exciting gift guide all about some of the best ones on the market to gift as presents this Valentine’s Day. Whether you enjoy them straight or on the rocks, you and your loved ones will want to snuggle up close with a good old fashioned glass of one of these on the 14th…

Tamdhu 12 Year Old Spreyside Single Malt Whisky Special Atlantic Salmon Trust Edition Bottle For Waitrose, £50: Encased in a gorgeous box, this whisky has been aged for 12 years in gorgeous rare oloroso sherry casks. Adding character to every sip, as soon as that first taste hits your tongue, you know that you are onto a real winner. As soon as this is unwrapped on the big day, your loved one will be in awe of the packaging and bottle too, as they really are a work of art. Plus, you can happily share that whilst they are enjoying it, they are also helping the Atlantic Salmon Trust too, as donations are being given every time one is sold. If you want a beautiful, rich and gorgeous Scotch, this is the one.

Glengoyne Wetlands Single Malt Scotch Whisky, £190: Whilst it may seem a little pricey, any whisky lover will know from the first sip that it is worth every single penny. Made near Loch Lomond, the tipple is produced in some of the slowest stills in Scotland to help create a fruity taste that is more subtle compared to others. Perfect with ice, the whisky is also one of a kind as it is the first whisky to be produced in a distillery that has made wetlands to help support their operations. Wetlands that can actually add to your gift, as you can pay to go on a tour of them, as the brand has made exclusive vouchers for their Malt Master Whisky Making Experience too. I absolutely love a whisky tour, so I could not recommend going on one enough lovelies.

Smokehead Original Single Malt Whisky, £41: For a more affordable option, look no further than the dark and handsome Smokehead. Immersing smoke, sea salt and rich spices together, this whisky is a stand out one, which comes in a bottle that will not be forgotten. If your special someone is a bit of a risk taker, this is the present to pick.

Rosebank 31 Year Old Lowland Single Malt Scotch Whisky, £1,800: Okay, so I will admit that this is a bottle that will blow all budgets out of the window. However, if you are looking for something that comes with a whole load of history and a lot of love, this triple distilled single malt is the one. Matured for over three decades in a selection of refillable casks, it has a legacy to it like no other. Plus, it comes in a gorgeous package that is like no other on the market. This is a gift that shows a whole lot of love.

With so many options in regards to taste, money and good old fashioned whisky, the hardest decision is which one to go for. However, just remember lovelies that all of them will show your endless amounts of love! It is time to get the glasses out, the ice cubed and fire roaring for these gifts to be handed out on Valentine’s Day!
