Blogmas Day 23: Five Last Minute Ways To Celebrate Christmas

00:00:00

Worried that you haven’t done enough to celebrate the festive season? Well, don’t panic! There is still so much that you can do to mark the occasion. Many of which can even be done from the comfort of your own home! Get ready to have a ton of festive fun in no time at all that will start the Christmas Day celebrations early!

Good Morning Lovelies,

Christmas always seems to come and go in the blink of an eye! Something I think is due to the season being so busy, leaving us feeling tired and sad that we may not have marked the occasion as much as we may have wanted to. If this is you, then I feel you!

Having done so much but feeling like I have actually done so little, I thought I would share some fun ideas to help us make the most of the rest of December in a short time. Get ready to celebrate the season fully with these festive ideas that you can do at home…

Caroling In Your Local Area: Whether you live in a town or a village, why not wrap up warm and head out caroling? From Jingle Bells to Santa Claus Is Coming To Town, whatever song you decide to sing at each door will be a true delight to those inside. Having never had anyone knock on our door before, I would absolutely love it.

A Festive Photoshoot At Home: Challenging everyone in your home to find a festive outfit using only what they own, host a festive photoshoot to capture their chosen getups. Then decorate a photo album to house the photos in making this year's festivities be remembered forever. You could even print out festive props to help make the images even more Christmassy.

Recreate A Christmas From Time Gone By: Do you and your loved ones have a Christmas memory that you love? Why not recreate it? Put on the outfits that you wore on the day and complete the same activities that you did on that day. Even if it is putting on your cosiest PJs and watching Christmas films with a cosy hot chocolate - which sounds like a dream to me - those memories are special for a reason and should be celebrated again and again.

Reverse Secret Santa: If you have little ones who are excited to open their presents, host a reverse Secret Santa to help keep their excitement at bay a little. Give them one hour to find an item in the home that they can wrap up and gift. Then host a little present ceremony to see what item they chose to give to you and why they chose that one. You can give it back to the original owner or if it isn’t too precious keep it.

Host A Festive Breakfast: Break all the rules with your breakfasts and host the sweetest start to the day possible. Waffles, pancakes, even a full on Buddy the Elf chocolate pasta feast. The more like a dessert the better. Sugar highs are not to be discussed when it comes to this, as all rules go out the window at Christmas and rightfully so!

These ideas are super affordable, fun and easy to do lovelies, whilst also spreading as much festive cheer for all to hear at the same time! We may only have a few days to go until the big event but that doesn’t mean that we can’t still go all out! It is time to party!
