This year, I have decided that I want to learn more about the world! As I seek to do more things that bring me joy, I am trying to open up to the items that bring those around the world happiness too. Including foods that many love! Having heard about this, I was overjoyed when I heard about some new snacks out now!

Good Morning Lovelies, 

This year, my and my mum have decided that we want to do more of the things that bring us joy. That includes opening up to more possibilities to learn new things, whilst discovering items that others love too. Opening up to the world of foods that others love is what brought us here today, as we were kindly gifted a few American snacks, created by World Wide Global Brands, to try to see if they could make us as happy as they do to those overseas. 

Upon receiving a box with all the delicious snacks in, we were overjoyed by the items we found. From sweet cereals, warming breakfast pastries and some super spicy crisps to snack on, there was something for each of us to try. Starting with the cereals. Coming in handy little pots, there was a bowl that matched many iconic biscuits, chocolate bars and sweets, requiring only milk to elevate them to cereal status. 

Within our box, we were given a Barretts Frump Cereal Cup, the Marshmallow Cookie O’s Cup, as well as some Peanut Butter Puffs and S’Mores Cereal too. Each one was served up in perfect portions, making them easy to take with us on the go. Giving off a sweet way to start the morning, we both enjoyed tucking into them, more so at night, as a type of dessert, instead of a breakfast. We also found the cereal to be the perfect toppers to add to a refreshing bowl of ice cream too. 

However, upon eating the ice cream or when seeking a warm start to the day, we found ourselves reaching out for the more toastier breakfast snacks that we were given. The Toast’em Pop Ups Toasted Pastries are very much like Pop-Tarts, yet they are a lot more affordable and equally as full of flavour too. In our delivery, we were given the Frosted Chocolate Fudge, Frosted Cookies & Creme, Frosted S’mores and Frosted Strawberry kinds to try. 

With six pastries included in each box, the beautiful rectangles easily fitted into our toaster, cooking evenly within seconds to provide a warming moment on a cold day. The Chocolate Fudge ones were rich and delightful, whilst the Frosted Strawberry pieces worked wonders at providing a real fruity hit to our mornings. 

As for the Cookies & Creme kind, this one brought real joy to us over the festive season with a glass of warm milk, which we are not afraid to admit we dipped them in. The S’mores kind were a real hit as a dessert, when we needed something sweet but didn’t want something too big or heavy after our meals. Each one worked at bringing a real joy into our lives, whilst also gifting us with a sense of childhood nostalgia, as we both declared that we hadn’t had anything like it in a long time. 

Finally, we put the crisps we found in the box to the test. Known for their spicy taste, I decided to let my mum take full control of this taste test, as she tried the Cruncheez Fiery Hot and Cheezy Jalapeno crisp based snacks that were included in our package. Deciding to test them with a sour cream based dip, she tucked into them one lunch time. Putting the Fiery Hot ones to the test first, she dipped them in quickly before taking a crunchy bite. 

Whilst feeling the heat, she told me how it wasn’t an unpleasant taste, but one that really lit up her taste buds. Giving them a little bit of a rest, she then switched to the cheezy based kind, which she said reminded her of a delicious nacho. Perfect as a snack and as a lunch based dish, she loved them both and found them to be truly addictive. Mixing them together made for an even more enjoyable experience too, as she stated that she never knew which one she would get, which she happily loved. 

To remove any traces of the heat, she washed them down with the final item in our box, which was an AW Root Beer. Having both heard about root beer but never trying it, she quickly popped the can open and poured. Upon the first notes hitting the glass, we could smell the vanilla coming off it, as the dark liquid trickled in. As a massive fan of cream soda, my mum moaned at the first sip, as she declared it was like an even richer kind of the drink. Taking away any spicy remains of the crisps, she was left with a taste that she couldn’t get enough of and has since gone on to buy more of. All with the idea of making a root beer float in the future too. 

With the idea of spreading joy and being happier our main goal this year, I can assure you that these snacks will be a part of that. Having never really put many American snacks to the test before, these wonders are something that all those involved in making them can be proud of, as they have brought a smile to ours and I am sure many others faces!
