Blogmas Day Nine: My 2025 Christmas Day Plans
00:00:00Christmas Day is one of my favourite days of the year, only beaten by Christmas Eve! To mark the occasion, we have created a new festive family traditional. One that came after the passing of my dad, who absolutely adored this time of year! Something that I have definitely inherited from him! The following is how I plan to spend the big day!
Good Morning Lovelies,
Christmas Day is a special day in our home! Ever since I was born, we have always made sure to make a big event of it. Before, during and after the actual occasion! It was a day that my dad would spend hours, along with my mum, making sure that our family was ready for and I have definitely inherited that from him.
I always want to make sure that the day is spent doing festive, fun and cosy things. As a big fan of Christmas Eve, I start these celebrations a day early, using the actual event to wrap up warm and watch Christmas films in bed with my mum. However, this year, I have planned a few things that are completely different to the norm.
Going back to things that we used to do when I was little, I am bringing out the board games, the festive TV specials and the old school buffet table this year. Even if it is only me and my mum in our house! Find out what we will be doing on Christmas Day 2025 below lovelies…
7-8am: Wake up and watch something festive in bed.
8-9am: Get up, shower and put on our new festive PJs and jumpers.
10-11am: Snuggle up in bed and unwrap our morning stockings and gifts.
11am-12pm: Go out on a festive walk around our village and give out presents and cards we haven’t handed out yet.
1pm-2pm: Open our big sacks full of gifts and have a festive drink together.
3pm-6pm: Watch festive films and TV shows snuggled up in bed.
6-7pm: Have Christmas dinner with all the trimmings and puddings.
7-8pm: Play board and card games or start a festive puzzle, with Christmas TV shows and films in the background.
8:30pm: Whip up a festive buffet to put out alongside the board games.
11pm-12am: Have a festive drink and cheers to mark the end of a fantastic day, whilst leaving out a whiskey and lighting a candle in honour of my dad. We will probably also have a massive dance party at this point too!
We will probably change this up a bit lovelies, yet for now, this is what we are planning to do! We have always tried to make the most of every single hour and I think this year will be equally busy! I like to really celebrate on Christmas Eve, which may be the Italian in me, however, I will never not love a Christmas Day either!
How are you going to be celebrating this Christmas lovelies? Let me know your big plans in the comments, as I would love to hear all about what traditions you follow!
