What I Watched During August 2025

So many of my favourite shows are back or airing, whilst a number of new features had me sitting on the edge of my seat too in August! Honestly, it was the month that really kept on giving when it came to TV and films! Here is what I really loved watching over the past month that I really think you should see!

Good Morning Lovelies,

With the UK coming under fire from a major heatwave, this autumn loving girl stayed well away from the outside! For me, it was a time to read books, stay as cool as I could and watch all the best new features I could find.

As soon as we hit the middle of the month, I felt like we were truly spoilt for choice, which was great for me and hopefully all of you. Here are five TV shows and films that I fell for during the past month…

My Life With The Walter Boys: When it comes to teen romance shows, Conrad Fisher will always own my heart first. However, in second place comes Cole Walter. I fell upon the first season of this show at the start of the year and have been patiently waiting for its return since. I was very thankful that we got all the episodes at once. I now need the third season to land ASAP!

My Oxford Year: Going into this, I had been warned it was sadder than what you might expect and it really was. Whilst it gave off cosy autumn vibes, the story left me really emotional. Do not watch it on a down day! This is one to view with your friends!

Materialists: I love Chris Evans, especially when he is taking on a romance feature. Whilst I did enjoy this, I don’t think that I would watch it again. The plot is definitely not what you would be expecting it to be. It’s a lot more darker or deeper shall I say than you would think. Still Evans, Dakota Johnson and Pedro Pascal are all still fantastic in it.

The Twisted Tale Of Amanda Knox: Oddly, I’m very interested in true crime stories. Don’t panic, I’m not obsessed, I just find them really interesting. Having grown up with the Amanda Knox story having been on the news, I was aware of what had happened but not to the full extent that this show presents it. I was gripped from the moment it started.

The Map That Leads To You: I watched this the night after My Oxford Year and it didn’t hit the spot in the same way. I didn’t really enjoy this one and found the story a little bit too dramatic. If you watch one of them then definitely go for the previous one.

What did you all watch in August lovelies? Let me know, as I would love to hear all about what you got you all excited! I may just binge a few!
