New Foods I Have Tried & Enjoyed Recently

00:00:00

Over the last few months, I have tried to introduce some new foods into my life! Having been away recently, I was able to adapt a little bit! There so, after a long time, I thought I would share with you all some of the new foods I have discovered recently and enjoyed! Get those bowls, plates, forks and spoons at the ready!

Good Morning Lovelies,

Coming into a new month has had me thinking a lot about the content I want to give you the next few weeks. During this time, I realised that I hadn’t shared a post like this in a long time. Having been away, I’ve experienced and tried had to embrace a few new foods, which I wanted to share with you all.

Some of the prices are in euros, as I had them whilst I was in Dublin, but I have heckled and the do the products here too. I’m not sure how much they are here though lovelies I’m afraid. Hopefully that doesn’t stop you from enjoying these tasty delights soon…

Lidl Strawberry Conserve, 0.85c: I know it’s in euros but I couldn’t believe how cheap this was when I was in Ireland. I dolloped a spot on my breakfast, topped crumpets with it and even brought a bit of it home. Really rich in flavour with good sized chunks of real strawberries, if you are going to Ireland or live there, look out for this cheap beauty in store. They do sell it in the UK too but it is not as cheap as this!

Aldi Frosted Wheats, £1.65: My normal cereal in Aldi had been out of stock for ages, which due to my conditions was really unsettling. Thankfully, I managed to find an alternative in these little biscuit type wonders. I know it’s might seem a bit odd but I really love these to eat on as they are. They are a great cereal to eat as a snack on the go too.

Trolli All In One Mini Sweet Mix, £7.95 for 1kg: After we came home from Ireland, I had to go for an eye test at Costco. The warehouse near to us has started stocking their Halloween bits and these huge bags of sweets were in it. I don’t think I will need to buy any more sweets for a long time to come. Plus, they are so yummy.

Irish Potatoes, €2.10: If there is one food that the Irish are famous for it is there potatoes. Unlike when we went before, I was brave enough this time to have them. The red skinned kind from their Tesco’s were fluffy, smooth and perfect. We had them boiled, mashed and even as jackets whilst out there. You can’t beat an Irish spud!

Lidl Crumpets, Unknown Price: On my birthday, all I wanted was jam on bread. To me, it is the most delicious thing. Transporting me back to my childhood, when I would come home to strawberry jam sandwiches cut into hearts, squares or stars to have after nursery. I decided on some old school crumpets to mark the occasion and these were super soft and tasty.

Have you tried anything new recently? What was it? Would you recommend it? Let me know in the comments below and I will try to find them to attempt each one!
