Making sure my dental health is the best it can be is very important to me! Therefore, I am always looking to find the best ways to elevate my oral hygiene! Odd question, but have you cleaned your teeth yet today? Are you someone who does it before or after breakfast? Well, whatever way you do it, looking after our smiles is key, especially when it comes to achieve the same looks as some of our favourite stars. 

Out are the days where we would all wonder what trends they would be wearing and in is the interdental, flossing and cleaning routines that they are following to get those gorgeous grins. 

Now a vital part of many’s morning and night time routines, including my own, the use of interdental brushes, tongue scrapers and dental floss have become a new norm. Something that the amazing brand, DenTek, have realised and worked hard to embrace with their products. 

With hygienist Emma Nelson, from the Dental Referral Centre, stating that the single most important thing to do in our routine is to clean between our teeth. This is because most tooth decay starts between the teeth, as a toothbrush cleans only 60% of the tooth. Therefore, using oral hygiene products such as DenTek’s floss picks and interdental brushes are key at making sure every part is reached. 

It isn’t only our teeth though that the brand is targeting. Oh no, it is our tongues too, which accumulate around 60-80% of the bacteria in the mouth, accounting for up to 90% of cases of bad breath. That is in no other words…disgusting!

By using DenTek’s tongue cleaners, interdental brushes and their handy flossers prevents any harmful dental damage from occurring and I for one am thankful. Often in my bathroom and bag, I use their interdental brushes all the time to reach those areas between my teeth. Especially where I had to have a crown fitted. And it seems to be working, as my dentist stated at my last check up that I had perfect teeth and dental hygiene. A fact I am very proud of.
