Restaurant Review: Meet Bros Is The Place To Go In London!
00:00:00In our house, a good steak means everything! Whether it be topped with the creamiest peppercorn sauce or mixed with a gorgeous blend of sides, we love them! So, when the blog was invited to sample the new menu at Meet Bros Asian Steakhouse in London, we had to say yes! Discover what we thought about the whole out of this world experience here!
Good Morning Lovelies,
Last night, the blog got treated to a meal that was out of this world! Deep in the heart of London is Meet Bros Asian Steakhouse and after being kindly offered the chance to sample their menu, we were amazed by what we tasted. It truly is a delight for all the senses!
Having been reached out, we were unsure about what we might find upon heading to the restaurant, as none of my family had heard of the venue before. Yet, from the moment we walked in all worries were erased. Greeted, seated and hosted by the manager, we were quickly made to feel at home.
Handing us the menu, we swiftly chose our drinks, which are all non-alcoholic, to help make sure that the meal is a rememberable one. Opting for the fresh lemonade, made from real lemon juice and zest, soda and fresh basil, we were then given a new drink, which was the Raspberry Royal mocktail, which included fresh raspberries, raspberry syrup, fresh mint and lime juice. Both of which were perfect for a hot summers day.
With the manager taking over, in the best possible way, we were told that he wanted to serve us the best dishes on the menu. And boy did he deliver! To start, he presented us with starters that were unlike anything we had ever had before. Laying out the platters in front of us, he provided us with a gorgeous selection of Rib Eye Beef with Cassava Chips, Glass Noodle, Baby Gems and Thai Danok Sauce on one side of the table and the Pulled Duck With Crepes Pancake, Spring Onion, Cucumber, Hoisin Sauce and Chilli Oil on the other.
We all decided that we would share all the dishes served to be able to taste as much as possible. Upon the first bite of the steak meat, it literally melted in our mouths. The juices flowed and our taste buds exploded! Mixing the soft pancakes with the gorgeously spiced duck is truly genius and everyone should take inspiration from it. However, I don’t think any other restaurant or homemade version could match up to it.
Giving us a little break before the mains, we enjoyed our drinks until the manager asked us again if we were ready for him to bring out the mains. At this point, the excitement as to what he would be giving us had built and so we were more than ready.
Soon, plate after plate was being brought out. It felt like we were being served a family dinner, as we were presented with the most beautiful Lamb Shank with Parisian Mash and Miso Eggplant, a Danish Prussian Black Prime Cut Ribeye Steak, the Wagyu Fried Rice, made up of Garlic Fried Rice, Japanese Omelette, Chilli Oil, Pickled Cucumber and Kimchi and the most delicious side dishes of Truffle Parmesan Fries, Sautéed Mushrooms and Grilled Broccolini with Chilli and Shallots.
The rice was the most delicious rice dish we had all agreed that we had ever tasted. The flavours were unbelievable. Honestly, we all said that there would never be another place that could match up to it. Again the meat was gorgeous and the shank was so big we couldn’t manage it all. But oh how we wish we could have!
The sides were just as beautiful, with the Parisian mash being something that we have since looked up how to make at home. Though, we would never make it as good as Meet Bros did. It was a truly twelve out of ten experience that was worth every bit of the food babies we were developing along the way.
With another pause having to be had, we were soon presented with the establishments best desserts. The gorgeously served Baked Apple Filo Pastry with Apples, Walnut and silky smooth Vanilla Custard and the rich Pineapple Pudding Turnover with Toffee Cream, Vanilla Ice Cream and Caramelized Toffee.
Placing two plates in front of us, we both watched as the manager expertly poured the custard onto the apple pastry dish, making the presentation rise to a whole new level. Splitting each pudding in half, we then tucked in and equally moaned in delight. It was like summer and autumn had mixed together, with the pineapple giving us the delights of the sun and the apple the richness of fallen leaves and rich apple trees.
The pastry just melted on the tongue, whilst the pineapple gave off just the right amount of tang to meld well with the creamy toffee. As for the custard, it deserved every bit of the show that it got. We again had never tried anything quite like it!
Meet Bros is a place that none of us had heard of but would now never forget! Unlike anything we had ever tried before, it is a true gemstone in the heart of London. In fact, it is a crown jewel. Every dish was mind blowing in all the right ways! If we could have a meal cooked by them every night, especially the Wagyu rice dish, then we would! Honestly lovelies, if you get the chance to go, GO! You will not be disappointed! It is a twelve star and beyond venue that just keeps on giving!
