Five Of The Best Festivals In Hertfordshire This Summer

00:00:00

Summer is well-known as being festival season! When the warm weather arrives, the world becomes one big party! However, with many costing a lot, the additional travel costs make it difficult to make them an affordable option! Yet, if you live in or near Hertfordshire, I have found some of the best in our local area that don’t cost the Earth to enjoy!

Good Morning Lovelies,

Festivals were something I loved going to as a teenager! There is nothing better than being in a crowd of people rocking out! Yet, as I have gotten older, I have seen that the amount of money they charge to go to them now is off the scale. When you add in the amount to get to them too, it can be even more expensive than going to another country in fact.

There so, to help make sure that you don’t miss out on the festival fun that is out there, I decided to look at some in my local area that will keep costs down, yet will raise the roof when it comes to having fun. If you live in Hertfordshire, you will not want to miss out on these events…

Slamdunk Festival, 24th May, Hatfield Park, Hatfield: One of the most popular festivals in the UK, rock fans flock to Hatfield for this event. Get your tickets quickly, as they are very close to selling out. And honestly, you will regret missing out on this.

Pub In The Park, 5th - 7th September, Verulamium Park, St Albans: Chef Tom Kerridge is a hero of mine, so knowing that he is celebrating the best food and drinks close to home feels special to me. With musical guests and hot of the TV cooks, you can enjoy the best meals whilst chilling out to iconic songs. Perfect for the end of summer vibes!

SMR 25, 23rd -25th May, Lamex Stadium, Stevenage: New this year, the SMR 25 will see musical stars such as Sigala, Ella Henderson, The Zutons and many more take to the famous Stevenage Football Club stadium to play their hit songs. Get ready to party the night away close to home.

Foodies Festival, 30th - 1st June, Oaklands College, St Albans: Another foodie hit, this very sweet festival celebrates local food makers, as well as well known stars, to provide the ultimate dishes. From cakes and bakes to curries and pasta dishes, what ever you fancy will be on the menu.

Sign Of The Times Festival, 20th - 22nd June, Church End, Little Hadham: If you are looking for a rock and roll festival close to Hertford then this is the one. With iconic musicians, including Midge Ure, 10cc, Ocean Colour Scene and more, you will be transported back to the Britpop era from the moment you arrive.

Whether you live in Hertfordshire or fancy travelling, these more affordable options will be fun and enjoyable for the whole family! It’s truly time to rock out without worrying about the costs!
