Get ready to create and dig in to these sweet bunny delights!

Good Morning Lovelies,

With only a few days to go until Easter, I am certain that if you are like us in our home, you will be falling over chocolate and hot cross buns. However, it’s an odd coincidence, as my family is definitely a more savoury tooth kind. Well, apart from me aha!

Due to this, it is hard to find my mum the perfect Easter egg, which led to me looking only for savoury recipes. Whilst there was many available, I couldn’t find the right kind for her. Therefore, I came up with this super easy recipe that I want to share with you all.

Using only four ingredients, these bunny shaped cheese pastries are fun and delicious, which is sure to make the whole family love them. Get ready to bake these for years to come…

Ingredients

One Sheet of Ready Rolled Puff Pastry

One Beaten Egg

Two Tablespoons of Cream Cheese

100g of Grated Cheese (Any Kind Is Fine)

Tools

Baking Tray

Greaseproof Paper

A Bunny Cookie Cutter or Knife

A Butter Knife

A Fork

A Pastry Brush

Method

Start by preheating the oven to 180°C/350°F and line a baking tray with greaseproof paper. Place to one side.

Roll out your pastry and use a knife or bunny shaped cookie cutter to cut out the bunny shapes. Place onto the trays.

Using a knife, spread a little cream cheese and sprinkle the grated cheese on top of it on one half of the bunnies.

Carefully place another bunny shape, which hasn’t been topped with cheese, onto the cheese topped bunnies.

Using a fork, carefully press down the edges to seal the cheese inside. Then brush the top of each one with egg to create a go,den finish when baked.

Place the sealed bunnies into the oven and cook for 12-15 minutes or until golden abd crispy.

Once ready, remove from the oven and enjoy hot or as a cold snack.

You will be hopping all over the place upon trying these lovelies! I promise you all that they are on a top tier savoury level!
