Good Morning Lovelies,

Halloween is on its way and that means spooky season is reaching its real peak! To get us in the mood for the 31st, I have selected books that every member of the family can enjoy! Snuggle up with one of these and enjoy…

Book of the Month: Want by Gillian Anderson: Delving into the hidden lesbian fantasies that women have, this new book from the actress reveals personal thoughts that are so refreshing to read.

The Witches by Roald Dahl: With Halloween coming up, now is the best time to pull out those classics including this childhood hit from the legendary author. Great for both big and small to enjoy.

Nectar of the Wicked by Ella Fields: YA novels know how to create fantasy worlds that draw us all in. This new book from Fields transports readers into the dark world of love, witchcraft and mystery perfectly.

The Dinner Lady Detectives by Hannah Hendy: We all grew up with some epic dinner ladies having made our school lunches. However, the two leading women in this book are swapping ladles for clues, as they seek to find out the truth behind the crimes happening around them.

Girl, Missing by Sophie McKenzie: Another YA novel that will hook you in, this novel shares the story of one teens search for her real family, after discovering that she may have been snatched at birth. Will she find out the truth? You will have to read it to find out.

The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson: A few years ago, this was made into a hit TV show on Netflix. However, the book is a whole lot scarier! Read this with the lights on or with others around you!

Funnybones by Allan Ahlberg: Probably one for young readers, this will transport you back in time to probably your first experience with spooky beings. The Funny Bones skeletons are legends of the literary world and it would have been wrong to not include them. Say with me now… In A Dark Dark Street…

The Murder After the Night Before by Katy Brent: When a journalist refuses to believe how her flats age is said to have died, she sets out to find the truth. Putting her skills to the test, she uncovers more than she bargained for along the way. You won’t be able to put this one down lovelies.

A Spoonful of Murder by J.M. Hall: Think a grown up version of The Fantastic Five mixed with Midsummer Murders and this is what you get! When three women find themselves tangled up in a murder case, they decide to take matters into their own hands to solve it. Mixing both crime and comedic elements, this is a true joy to read.

The Pumpkin Spice Cafe by Laurie Gilmore: If you can’t handle crime or creepy, get cosy instead! This sweet love story will remind you a lot of those great films that come out at this time of year. Think You’ve Got Mail! Grab a hot chocolate and a comfy blanket to enjoy along with this one.

The Hound of the Baskervilles by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle: There is no one better than Doyle to make us fall in love with the perfect crime story at this time of year. Timeless, this story really does make you want to become a detective yourself.

What will you all be reading this autumn or Halloween lovelies? Let me know! It might just make a future list!
