It may still only be September but it won’t be long before Christmas is here and I can’t wait! As soon as September hits, I start seeking gifts and advent calendars! Once those countdown wonders are in my hand, I feel like the fun can begin! To mark advent calendar week, I have an exciting coffee-filled one from Beanies to share with you!

Good Morning Lovelies,

Have you been looking at all the advent calendars on the market for Christmas this year yet? I’m obsessed with so many that I fear I will be going around opening doors for the whole of December! I love anything that is a bit different, although, you can’t beat the classic chocolate ones. Yet, this year, I’m changing things up and dedicating a whole week to the new and inventive ones on the market this year! Starting with this exciting coffee brand!

Earlier this month, the team at Beanies announced a new product that is going to be a real wonder for the coffee lover in your home this festive season. Forget pumpkin spice latte season. It is all about there exciting flavours!

Known for taking some of the greatest flavours of all time and turning them into instant coffees, which are available in jars and sachets, the team have used their skills to make a number of festive flavours that have helped to make up their beautiful advent calendar (£20) this year. And kindly, I was sent one to try!

Arriving in a giant box, I found a snowy scented piece upon opening it, which smelt amazing. With 44 sticks dotted behind the doors on the side, with two sachets in each day, the front of the calendar also had two giant doors at the front, which had two mystery jars within. Each calendar has different flavours behind these doors, so it is a real surprise on the 1st and 24th of December.

This year’s merry filled mix includes flavours such as Christmas Pudding, Mince Pie, Gingerbread and Peppermint Candy Cane to name just a few. All of which set to make your tastebuds come alive. Not wanting to ruin the advent calendar too early, I was very thankful that we could put these flavours to the test thanks to the four jar gift set that also came with it.

In the same flavours as mentioned above, the Christmas Gift Set (£12.99), housed each jar in a gorgeous packaging that would really stand out as a premium gift to give. Every product prides itself on being sugar and nut free, as well as being vegan. This means that everyone can enjoy it, so my mum quickly popped the kettle on to give them a go.

Taking four mugs out of the cupboard, she decided to make each one up all at once. As soon as she opened each jar, you could smells the spices and flavours coming off them. Especially with the gingerbread one, which had an utterly delicious aroma! Making up each one, she left the milk to be able to get maximum tastes.

Starting with the mint Christmas pudding coffee, she loved how rich it smelt, with those burnt pudding fumes coming from it. Taking a sip, she told me upon swallowing that you got the beautiful richness of the fruits mixed in with the subtle coffee to leave a very pleasant taste behind. Not normally one for Christmas pudding, she said that she would.d rather have this after the big dinner on the day than the actual dessert.

Moving onto the Peppermint candy cane coffee, this had the minty smells going around all over our home. This flavour was the one that my mum was most worried to try, as she isn’t the biggest mint fan. It would have been a huge hit with my dad however. Taking a sip, she wasn’t sure at first, so she had another. Admitting it wasn’t her favourite, she did say that it would be a refreshing flavour to have at the end of a meal. Perfect to give to guests she stated, as it would be a great palate cleanser.

Next up, she opted to make the Mince Pie coffee, leaving what she hoped was best until last with the Gingerbread one. Again, upon opening the jar, she found that it was really rich in smell, all in a very epic way. Pouring the water in, the smell just got stronger and stronger and I truly loved it. Even if she didn’t like it, I would be making it just to have the Christmas scent going around our home.

However, I didn’t have to worry, as she loved it. Describing how it would be perfect with an actual mince pie, she said it really had that classic taste and one this would go down a storm with everyone who loves the little pastry. Finally though, we got down to the one she was most excited for! The Gingerbread one!

Smelling just like you would expect, I wasn’t just reminded of Christmas but of my childhood. Growing up, it was a real treat to go to my local bakery for a gingerbread man. Watching my mum pour this coffee out, I felt like I did when I used to watch the baker bag up the little man for me. Taking a big chug of this one, my mum actually moaned at the taste of this one.

She said that the gingerbread was perfect and she loved how she knew it would make a brilliant gingerbread latte if mixed with warm frothy milk. She went on to say that she was going to buy more jars and stock up to keep the festive spirit alive throughout the year! Something I was happy to hear, as it meant that we would have the best smelling house all year round!

Beanies are a brand that you can always trust to bring you the tastes that you want! Their festive fancies are a true gem that I can’t wait to explore more of as the festive season gets closer! If you are or if you know someone who would love these as a gift then I would really recommend both. They are a cosy winter wonder that goes above and beyond on taste and flavours! Cheers lovelies!
