The Blackpool Tower is an iconic piece of history and architecture, which has truly stood the test of time! Yesterday, under the beating hot summer sun, it came to life, as we walked to the very top to enjoy the beauty of the Blackpool Airshow and Tower Circus based inside its walls. Discover everything that happened during our wonderful sunny visit right here!

Good Morning Lovelies,

Over the beating crowds and beautiful beaches of Blackpool reigns the Blackpool Tower! Looming over the heart of the city, the tower allows guests to go to new heights, as it offers them the opportunity to experience all of Blackpool in one go. And kindly, me and my family were offered the chance to enjoy it yesterday.

After booking to experience it at 1pm, when we hoped the sun would be shining, we got the chance to see more than we thought, as the Blackpool Airshow coincided with our trip too. Upon arriving, we were shown into a 4D experience to highlight what we might see, how the tower came to be and the wonders of the city.

Hyping us all up to the max, we then took the lift to the first floor, which allowed us to see the gorgeous skyline and beaches. However, it wasn’t doing it enough for the littlest bloggers, who encouraged us all to climb up to the top floor to enjoy the heights even more. Including the five centimetre thick Skywalk experience.

Honestly, the fear of being 380ft up in the air and walking on clear glass was strong, yet doing it was worth all the anxiety. The littlest Tamburello was keen to step on and happily posed for a snap to prove how small everyone looked underneath him. It was like watching ants crawling along.

We weren’t up there long before the action outside started. Being high up, the sounds of the Red Arrows was heightened, soaring around leaving colourful smoke in their wake. From loop to loops to love hearts, seeing their creations so close up was truly an event that none of us will forget.

After grabbing a few more pictures, finishing up the Airshow displays and braving the Skywalk one more time, we headed back down. Seeing the wonders of the city flying by our heads is something that none of us will forget for a long time. It truly left us feeling so energised that we weren’t ready to go home anytime soon.

This was lucky, as the Merlin Blackpool team had kindly also gifted me the opportunity to enjoy the Tower Circus too. World famous for being the longest running show in Blackpool, the circus runs for just over two hours, and by gosh is it a lot of fun.

Meeting up with some friends, the little bloggers got settled in to enjoy all of the action from the ring. Full of stunts, laughs and the comedy pairing of clowns Mooky and Mr Boo, you will be endlessly amazed at what the circus acts bring to life.

Acrobats fly over your head. Stunt performers soar above and beyond to give us shocking attempts that should never be tried at home. You can’t choose where you sit lovelies and photos and filming are not allowed, however, this makes it even more special, as every seat offers a new view. Plus, you don’t miss out on any of the action, as you are not trapped behind a screen.

Every single one of our group were speechless at times and we loved it. The little bloggers found it entertaining and a fun way to spend a summers day. Heading out afterwards, it was like we were all little kids again, as we laughed about what we had seen.

Merlin offer amazing opportunities for the whole family in Blackpool, yet, this is the most iconic of them all. You really can’t miss the opportunity to see the tower in all its beauty, so make sure to book a trip before it closes for winter. You will come away soaring from it!
