My August 2024 Food Finds
00:00:00August was a really funny old month! There was a lot of traumatic moments, yet, I carried on going and strived to find some new foods to try amongst all the madness! Seeking a lot of wholesome delights, these are now a firm bunch of new kitchen favourites. Here is what I discovered during those tough days, which I enjoyed quite a lot!
Good Morning Lovelies,
With everything that happened in August, I didn’t really get the chance to think about trying new foods. Seeking comfort, I stuck to a lot of what I was already eating. However, I found some little editions to try or add in that I really enjoyed.
They may not seem like big differences, but the following are delicious lovelies and something that I hope you can all try and like too…
Aldi Clear Honey, 79p: I always wondered about this honey, so I decided to try it on a bagel. It’s so tasty lovelies and a fantastic price too. It’s now become a staple in my cupboard, as you all know that I’m a huge lover of honey.
Tesco’s Crumpets, 45p: I’ve tried many crumpets in my lifetime. From big brands to supermarket savers, I’ve probably had them all. Currently, I’m obsessed with these, warmed up with thick set honey on top. The little holes ooze the goo perfectly.
Twinnings Camomile and Honey Tea: I have to admit that I didn’t pay for a box of this tea, as I surprised myself after a hospital appointment by enjoying a cup of it from the bus station waiting area. It was a completely out of the blue decision, which scared me to death, but having faced so many fears this past month, I found myself really enjoying it.
St. Dalfour Blackcurrant Jam, 40p: The reason this is so cheap lovelies is because I picked up a taster pot for this price in Home Bargains. I have always wanted to try blackcurrant jam, yet, I found myself scared to do so. This has real fruit pieces in it that aren’t too tart but just perfectly sweet. I’m now on the hunt for a cheaper full size version.
Vimto Raspberry, Orange & Passionfruit Real Fruit Squash, £2: Taking a me day, my mum and I went for a shop in our local area and delved into our nearest Food Warehouse. I picked up a massive three litre bottle of this juice to try for just £2. It’s so good as a homemade slush puppy and a fantastic price too!
What did you discover or enjoy eating recently lovelies? Let me know!
