Get Ready To Celebrate The Oscars With My Favourite Moments From The Night!

15:13:00

Good Afternoon Lovelies,

I can’t believe that the Oscars is over for another year! Last night was full of comedy, heart and lots of emotions as the world of film came together to celebrate the best. I will admit that I normally struggle to stay awake, but last night I was wide awake and haven’t slept yet because of how amazing it was.

In case you didn’t watch it or have missed out on catching all the best bits from the show, I wanted to share with you some of my favourite moments from the night for you to enjoy whatever you are doing…

The Trips Down Memory Lane: Before the show had even begun, the ceremony was taken back in time and given a historical treatment that was filled with comedy and classic beauty.

Jimmy Kimmel’s Opening Speech: Jimmy Kimmel did not hold back during his second time as host and he especially let rip during his opening ceremony. Tackling Harvey Weinstein, last year’s Best Picture mishap and more, it is a real treat.

Celebrities Invading A Local Cinema: Halfway through the show, Jimmy decided to get a handful of stars including Armie Hammer and Gal Gadot to come with him to a cinema across the road to help hand out treats to audience members as a special thank you. It was funny and super sweet.

Frances McDormand’s Speech: Girl power was strong last night and Frances McDormand made sure that the women who were nominated or invited stood up and made their voices heard. She is a true legend and I am so happy she won.

James Ivory’s Win: Another brilliant speech came from James Ivory who wore one of the best outfits of the night. His words could bring a tear to anyone’s eye lovelies and Timothee Chalamet’s reaction melted my heart.

Get Out Gets A Special Mention: To make sure people knew how the night was going to go, Jimmy Kimmel brought out the cast of Get Out to make sure people were aware of what was going to happen.

Jordan Peele Wins Big: Taking home the original screenplay award, Jordan Peele made my dreams come true, with his amazing speech and brilliant reaction to picking up the award.

Tiffany Haddish and Maya Rudolph Steal The Show: My dreams finally came true last night when members of Bridesmaids and Girls Trip came together to present an award. Truly one of the funniest moments of the night, I hope that Haddish and Rudolph host the Oscars in the future.
